Competition｜The elite competition of the skills of professional grinder workers of “Xiongzhen Cup” in Zhenhai District in 2022

In order to implement the spirits of Implementation Plans for Ningbo to Build a Pilot Demonstration City of “Made in China 2025”, Opinions of Zhejiang Province on Building a Team of High-Level Skilled Talents and other documents, as well as give full play to the positive role of vocational skill competitions in the cultivation, selection and motivation of high-skilled talents, the elite competition of the skills of professional grinder workers of “Xiongzhen Cup” in Zhenhai District in 2022 was held in Ningbo Silver-ball Technology Co., Ltd. on the morning of September 18th. All enterprise units attached great importance to it, strengthened their leadership, organized elaborately, and mobilized proactively to ensure the smooth development of the competition.

This competition was sponsored by Zhenhai District Federation of Trade Unions, Jiaochuan Street, Zhenhai District-Development Zone Federation of Trade Unions, undertaken by Ningbo Silver-ball Technology Co., Ltd., and co-organized by Zhenhai District Talent Jingang Vocational Training School. Contents of the competition included theory and practice concerning the grinder, attracting a total of 45 grinder technicians across the whole region to participate in. After the competition, quality assessment referees first tested roundness of the bearings, smoothness of the molding, curvature and surface quality of the groove. Then, combining the results of the theoretical test, they made a comprehensive evaluation on the skill performance of the contestants. After fierce competition, one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes, and several winning prizes were awarded; among them, Deng Fabing from NZSB won the first prize.

Skill competition serves as a critical vehicle for enterprises to select, train and motivate outstanding skilled talents, and an important measure to promote the growth of skilled talents. Through the elite competition of the skills of professional grinder workers, employees actively learned business-related knowledge and skills, which would provide reliable technical support for the high-quality development of enterprises and bring their wisdom and strength into play for the city.
